Long time no talk

This was a blog for my Technology class. However, since it seems to be the new "in thing" to keep a blog, I have decided to start writing in this again.

I have moved back to Fairmont, in hopes of getting more sub jobs. The funny thing is, this past week I have gotten calls at home that I had to turn down, but nothing here. I am not sure if this move has been the best thing for me or not. The person who I am living with, I have lived with in the past, and it wasn't the best fit. For some reason I thought that things would be different, but it doesn't seem that much has changed. I can however always go home if things don't work out, and I have come to realize it won't be a big deal (which I make most things) if I have to go home.

I am a huge creature of habit, and change is not something I adapt well to, so it is taking me while. I am also not a very patient person, so hopefully I can wait this out. I am glad however, to be closer to friends, even though we don't see each other very much (yet), I know that I am only 15-30 min away instead of an hour (or more) away.

Today we learned about a hepful little tool called thinkfinity... I have learned this can be helpful, but there is not much on the 3 Branches of Government. Here are two i found.

Webquest

Today we were told to find a webquest that we could use in our classroom. good for my Mrs. Nedeff has been showing me how I can incorperate different ones in my unit for social studies.
I have many differnt choices that I have found when it comes to using a webquest for the branches of government here are just a few that I really liked.

Finally have class

After having over a week off of class we were back in the classroom.
Today we finished our Jeopardy and Millionaire games. They both made me hate power point, but I will still use it for almost everything I do. As of now I ahve two power points in my SS unit, I know other people have several more, but I wanted diversity, even though my unit is very repetitive.

Today we made an online quiz, of course mine is about the branches of government, because that is all I can think about anymore.

We learned how to create and share a calendar... here is my Calendar.

There is a lot going on in my life, too bad I don't have time to deal with any of it.

Multimedia

Today we created a site, I got really mad at the computer because I hate the title of my site and now it is stuck being that way, but oh well I will live with it.
I hope I will one day use a web page, because I think it is is a good way to get information across and a very good way to show students and parents what is going on in the class room and in the school.

I also learned that all the work I did on my Jeopardy board is gone...

really this in not my week... please say it is all over soon :(
